I don’t know about you, but each time I travel I have a checklist of the things that I need to pack and take with me. Some things are obviously dependent on the type of trip, the time of year and the duration, but there are some items I never travel without regardless of the circumstances.
Five Items I Never Travel Without
Universal Plug Adapter
I always make sure I make my universal plug adapter, even if I’m not going abroad, as it takes a three-pin plug and has three USB ports. This is ideal if I’m travelling quite a bit of tech gear (laptop, camera, phone etc.) as I can then charge multiple items at the same time.
Portable Charger
I’ve always got this in my bag, whether I’m on a longer trip or simply heading out for the day. Knowing that I have some backup charge for my phone is a relief in case of an emergency. I’ve actually tried a few powerbanks and this is definitely the best one I’ve found so far.
Notebook and Pen
Even with all the gadgets we have at our disposal nowadays I still revert to a good old notebook and pen when I have to quickly jot down some notes, or make a list, or simply remind something of something for later. This lovely notebook and pen set was given to me for my birthday back in the Summer.
Book
I cant help it. I haven’t left the house in years without having a book in my bag. Whether it’s few hours on a plane, a couple of hours on a coach, or I’m simply bored in a coffee shop and I want to sit quietly minding my own business. I love being able to take just a few minutes to grab that book and fall into the pages.
Camera
You don’t have to have the biggest and best camera to take good photos. If you’re only taking a day trip, then you really don’t have to lug all of your hefty gear with you, your phone will do. Even though I don’t take photos on my phone on a normal day if I’m taking a trip I will usually alternate between that and my main camera.
