Delft
The photogenic old town of Delft lies on the River Vliet, halfway between The Hague and Rotterdam.
This is an area that is particularly well known for it’s creative and artistic connections; the Delft potteries are perhaps one of the world’s most famous ceramic potteries in the world. The artist Johannes Vermeer is probably one of the most renowned Delft residents, diminished into obscurity for over a century he is now considered one of the greatest artists of the Dutch Golden Age.

Gouda
Gouda is a city in The Netherlands which is world famous for it’s cheese. In the main square of downtown Gouda is a well-known cheese shop called Gouds Kaashuis. The market square is surrounded with restaurants so food lovers can try something other than cheese. In the same market square you’ll find the beautiful Gouda Town Hall, the oldest Gothic Town Hall in The Netherlands which dates back to the 15th century.Â
