I’ve lived in Oxford all of my life, which means that I rarely take the time to appreciate the aspects that visitors revel in; punting, colleges, museums. Therefore, I decided to take some time to trawl through the internet and find some of my favourite blog posts on visiting Oxford written by other people who have visited the city.

Oxford is a hugely popular city, whether you’re from the UK and fancy taking a day trip or whether you’re from further afield and want to see as much of the UK as possible.

If you’re after a super modern, cool, urban city then Oxford probably isn’t for you. Oxford doesn’t really do cool. It doesn’t really need to. Nobody has ever visited this city for its modern vibe. Visitors tend to only be interested in the historical grandeur of this University city. People flock to Oxford to catch sight of the students in their gowns, to step into pristine green quads and to marvel at the history surrounding them.

Oxford is a pocket-sized city, so you can easily walk around on foot or two wheels amongst the infamous dreaming spires, down cobbled streets and through the covered market.

This post consisted of some of my favourite blog posts on visiting Oxford.
