I often write about how books can inspire your travel plans, but films can also provide a huge amount of inspiration, to be able to see a beautiful location on screen and follow in the footsteps of our favourite characters. So how would we make that dream trip just a little bit more special? How about staying in the same famous movie hotels (and even the same rooms) as those characters?Â

Hotel Degli Orafi, Florence, Italy
Film: A Room With a View
A former Augustine convent from the 13th century is located metres from the Uffizi Gallery.
