Thelma and Louise (1991)

Thelma and Louise is as extraordinary and admirable a film in retrospect as it was when it was first shown.

Nothing has dated about its tale of two waitresses who decide that being outlaws and eventual death on their own terms is better than putting up with any more nonsense from husbands, boyfriends, rapists and offensive strangers.

Thank you for your comment. I know what you mean. I’m not sure I’d ever manage a trail like that but I do love to put on a comfy pair of shoes/ boots and just walk. I’m not particularly fit but hiking does always end with a huge feeling of accomplishment.

I didn’t LOVE the book Wild so didn’t watch the film straight away, but I did enjoy it. I only saw Eat Pray Love for the first time at the beginning of this year – I’m a bit awkward and don’t tend to watch films if there’s a lot of fuss about it.
