I love Europe. The more I travel and visit various cities the more I want to see. I love how each European city has its own personality, vibe, culture and style. There are over 110,000 cities across Europe and even though there is no possibility of visiting them all I have decided to create my European travel wish list.

My European Travel Wish List

Paris

It seems strange to say that I’ve never been to Paris. It’s not a city that ever fell high on my list of places I wanted to visit but the more blog posts I read and the more I think about how and where I want to travel in the future it’s becoming more and more appealing. Beautiful bookshops, a multitude of cafes, hidden gardens, tiny streets: all of which (for me) would make up a dreamy getaway to an otherwise extremely well-visited city.

Seville

I really loved my trip to Barcelona so another Spanish city is definitely on my wish list. With it’s tapas bars, tiny streets, pretty bridges; and a mixture of old and new architecture Seville definitely claims its place on this list.

Berlin

From speaking to a variety of people and reading a multitude of blog posts Berlin appears to be filled with an eclectic mix of history, culture and gorgeous sights. I would also (obviously) be looking to gorge on the diverse foods of the city.

Lisbon

As a lover of old cobbled streets, coloured buildings and perfect views, whether it’s a weekend getaway or a much longer stay I’m pretty sure that any visit to Lisbon would be predominately filled with these three things.

Florence

I’m not the biggest fan of Renaissance art but there’s something about Florence that has a captivating appeal, and I’m not sure I’ll know what it is without visiting. The architecture looks stunning, the museums and galleries are mind-blowing and don’t forget the gelato. So much gelato. Yum!

Amsterdam

A lot of people were surprised when I said I was visiting Rotterdam. Many questioned why I wouldn’t chose the more popular destination of Amsterdam. Of course the truth is that if I hadn’t been attending the Traverse Conference I probably would have picked the Dutch capital instead. With its beautiful canals, pretty houses, and walkable neighbourhoods, it’s definitely on my radar.

Stockholm

With a combination of historical architecture and beautiful sea views, I can’t think of a reason not to want to travel to Stockholm. Having already visited Copenhagen I am already decided that I want to see much more of the Scandinavian region.

Bergen

Why do I want to visit Bergen? Do you really need to ask? Just Google the place and look at how gorgeous it is. Norway may be one of the most expensive countries in Europe but the colourful buildings, the views and the intriguing food means it definitely earns it’s spot on any European Travel Wish List.

Dubrovnik

If you’re a lover of Old Towns then this Croatian city is surely the ultimate destination. With those crumbling walls, terracotta rooftops and labyrinthine passageways the Medieval charm is mesmerising. It may be a magnet for fans of Game of Thrones looking for filming locations but alongside the walled city it’s those coastal and mountain views that draw me to visit.

Prague

Here are a few things I know about Prague: It’s relatively cheap so perfect if you’re travelling on a budget, it’s a small city so easy to navigate, it’s full of beautiful cityscapes and unique landmarks.

Krakow

Poland is full of cities that I would love to visit but Krakow is another city where the architecture fascinates me, the history is worth exploring and the food culture is something to be discovered.

Bratislava

When I decided to create this European Travel Wish List Bratislava was one of the first cities I thought of. Every photo I see makes me want to jump on a plane: the architecture is stunning, it’s tiny so looks super easy to navigate on foot and it’s another city with a fab café culture.

How many (if any) of these cities have you been to?

What cities are on your European Travel Wish List?

Let me know in the comments.
