2018 was the year of the podcast, for me anyway. Whether it was travel related or inspiring creativity I listened to more podcasts this year than ever before.

My Favourite Podcasts of 2018

The vast majority of podcasts are free. They’re also super easy to download and play from your smartphone using app such as Podcast Republic. Active podcasts often update weekly and sometimes even daily. Episodes range in length from 10 minutes to an hour, which is perfect as I tend to listen to them during my bus journeys to and from work.

With hundreds of thousands of podcasts available it can be difficult to know what to listen to.

Twin Perspectives by Twins That Travel

podcasts

Two of my favourite travel bloggers are Claire and Laura. (Twins That Travel) Since starting their blog in 2014 they’ve won multiple awards for their incredible writing and been nominated for a number of others. Not bad for two people who are afraid of flying.

Their podcast, Twin Perspectives carries on in the same vein as their blog – full of humour and beautiful storytelling, covering their experiences of destinations and more personal musings on everything from travelling with anxiety to life as an identical (adult) twin.

The Travelust Podcast by Sam Sparrow

podcasts

Sam is another of my favourite travel bloggers. She describes herself as “a wannabe professional city breaker” and her writing backs this up, in a humorous, honest and informative style.

The Travelust Podcast has Sam chatting to people who have built their life around a desire to travel the world, reminiscing over travel memories, favourite destinations and providing some fantastic travel tips.
